Dollywood: Shopping Back in Time
Where can shoppers purchase handmade crafts, musical instruments and a selection of fashionable clothing all in the same place? At Dollywood, of course! Seasoned guests have known for years that Dollywood boasts a remarkable array of gifts, treats and accessories among its spectacular rides and attractions.
Many people associate Pigeon Forge, Tenn., with excellent shopping opportunities, and perhaps the best place to get started is at Dollywood. With more than 40 shopping locations, Dollywood offers everything from specialty craft items to apparel and toys. A unique collection of items featuring the park’s famous namesake, Dolly Parton, also is available for guests to peruse.
Three new stores provide guests additional shopping options during a day at Dollywood. Volunteer Supply Company, located in Wilderness Pass, offers a great selection of items for Dollywood’s newest attraction, FireChaser Express. From t-shirts and hats to toy fire trucks and plush Dalmatians, there is something for every brave recruit who answers the call of the nation’s first dual-launch family coaster. An array of trendy jewelry and sunglasses also are available.
At Rivertown Trading, a complete line of Bohemian-inspired dresses, scarves and accessories are on display for ladies of all ages. Taste Traders features a wide array of hot sauces and flavorings, plus beef jerky, candies, soups, jams and jellies. This store truly offers something for every member of the family!
Dollywood is known for its wide selection of award-winning food, and now, the park’s signature cinnamon bread is ready to travel. New packaging makes it more convenient for guests to purchase cinnamon bread to take home and enjoy after their time at Dollywood. The Grist Mill, where the cinnamon bread is made fresh daily, features additional ovens to accommodate the overwhelming demand for the tasty treat.
Those looking for a unique and memorable item should visit the Rainbow Blown Glass Factory in Craftsman’s Valley. In a rare hands-on experience, guests make their own one-of-a-kind blown glass ornament under the guidance of Dollywood’s master glassblower. After selecting their color of choice, guests work with the craftsman to create the unique keepsake. A certificate is provided with the ornament to denote its originality.
Located just inside the park’s turnstiles, the Dollywood Emporium is the park’s ultimate shopping experience. The park’s largest shopping attraction, the Dollywood Emporium also features the best of all that Dollywood’s many unique shops have to offer—including food, apparel and gifts. The Dollywood Emporium also features a variety of home decorating items and ceramics as well as an assortment of homemade jams, jellies and fruit-flavored ciders.

Follow the sweet aroma on Showstreet to the 6,500-sq.-ft. Dollywood’s Sweet Shoppe. Guests can satisfy their sweet tooth with hand-dipped Edy’s ice cream or delicious gourmet caramel apples. Visit Dollywood’s talented candy makers next door in the Candy Shop where more than 70 taste-tempting confections await, including five cases devoted solely to chocolate. Finally, step into the Taffy Kitchen where more than 60 flavors of this familiar favorite are made.
A Dollywood shopping spree has another benefit not available in any mall. By watching the master craftsmen during their working demonstrations, guests gain a better understanding of the intricate and painstaking effort poured in to each of the unique hand-crafted gifts. In a day at Dollywood, guests can see leather smiths fashion hand-tooled leather, blacksmiths forge steel into the perfect gift or witness the creation of a wagon or carriage by the Dollywood wainwrights. The best part is that all of the handmade items, from wagons and leather belts to vases and pitchers, are available for purchase.
Dollywood’s wood carvers have been entertaining park guests for years with their working demonstrations. While watching these talented artisans create beautiful handcrafted pieces, guests learn more about this centuries-old craft. At the Woodcarver’s Shop, guests can purchase wood carving tools, books and blanks—perfect for the do-it-yourselfer who wants to explore the art.
Dollywood shoppers can take advantage of the park’s convenient and complimentary Package Pickup program. Package Pickup will hold any item(s) purchased in any merchandise shop. While guests enjoy a “hands-free” day in the park, items are delivered to Package Pickup in the Dollywood Emporium where items are held for guests until they exit the park.
