The Smoky Mountains’ only ice skating production headlines award-winning festival.

PIGEON FORGE, Tenn.—At Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas presented by Humana (Nov. 5- Dec. 30), the most wonderful time of the year now glistens even more with the premiere of the spectacular new show Dollywood’s Christmas on Ice!

“My new Dollywood’s Christmas on Ice show is filled with some of my very favorite Christmas songs, beautiful costumes and incredibly talented ice skaters,” Dolly Parton said. “It’s the first ice rink we’ve ever created at Dollywood, and I just can’t wait for folks to see all the unbelievable twists and spins, along with, of course, the entire park that’s filled with all of the many wonderful sights and sounds of Christmas!

Featuring a dazzling display of four million colorful lights, Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas recently won its fourth Golden Ticket Award for Best Christmas Event. The Golden Ticket Awards are presented annually by Amusement Today magazine, the theme park and amusements industry’s leading trade publication.

Dollywood’s Christmas on Ice!, an original show and the latest addition to Dollywood’s award-winning holiday entertainment lineup, features Ice Theater of New York, the nation’s premier ice dance ensemble. The cast also includes six singers who perform a variety of Christmas favorites—“Snow,” “Jingle Bell Rock,” “I’ll Be Home for Christmas,” “O’ Come All Ye Faithful” and many, many more—each featuring an all-new musical arrangement. Voices and music combine to provide the musical landscape for Ice Theater of New York’s beautifully crafted and expertly executed ice dancing.

This festive indoor ice skating production showcases skaters performing daring spins, spirals and fancy footwork in a genuine ice rink that will be created and frozen on the stage of DP’s Celebrity Theatre. With colorful costumes, Dollywood’s Christmas on Ice evokes a magical sense of Christmastime pageantry and celebration. Familiar favorites complete the holiday entertainment lineup—Christmas in the Smokies, ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, O’ Holy Night, Christmas with the Kingdom Heirs, An Appalachian Christmas, and Carol of the Trees, a spectacular and colorful light display synchronized to popular Christmas tunes.

Smoky Mountain Christmas invites guests to also enjoy more than 20 rides and attractions, from Dollywood’s award-winning Thunderhead and Mystery Mine coasters to Country Fair’s family rides.
