Where exactly is Dollywood's Splash Country, and how do I get there?

Dollywood's Splash Country is located in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, 35 miles southeast of Knoxville, off I-40 at Exit 407.  Please see our Driving Directions page for a map of the area.

What is the weather like there?

Smoky Mountain weather is very unpredictable.  You should obtain an up-to-the-minute weather report prior to your visit.  Current area weather conditions can be found on our Weather page.

Do you offer Rain Checks?

If adverse weather conditions significantly affect Park operations and your visit is shortened by the severe weather conditions, you can request a Rain Check—just ask.  Rain Checks are distributed at the Front Gate and are valid until the end of the season.  Rain Checks are not available for Season Passholders.

What should I wear when I visit?

Only swimsuits are allowed on the water attractions.  No swimsuits with buckles, rivets, or any sharp objects, no denim, corduroy or cutoffs allowed.  Shirts are not permitted on the body slides (no exceptions).  Thong swimsuits are not permitted.  Shirts with profanity are not permitted.

What type of footwear should I bring?

Shoes, sandals or footwear with buckles are not permitted on the attractions.  No footwear may be worn on the Mountain Scream, Wild River Falls, SwiftWater Run, The Butterfly or Bear Mountain Fire Tower.  Water shoes or similar footwear is acceptable on all other attractions.

May I wear eye glasses / sunglasses on the rides?

Yes.  However, they are only permitted with a head strap on the attractions.

Are weapons or alcohol allowed?

Weapons and alcoholic beverages are not permitted on Dollywood's Splash Country Property.

Where can I get a map of Dollywood's Splash Country?

Do I have to pay to park?

Yes, $8 for all standard length vehicles, $11 for oversize length vehicles such as RVs and trailers.  However, parking is FREE if you purchase a Dollywood's Splash Country Gold Season Pass or a Gold Super Season Pass.

Do you have picnic areas available if we bring our own food?

After careful consideration of park policies across the nation, consultation with health and safety experts and much consideration of the welfare of our guests and employees alike, we are unable to allow coolers, food or drinks into Dollywood's Splash Country.  Although we do not allow food or drink to be brought into the Park, Dollywood's Splash Country offers a wide variety of delicious foods available at our restaurants and snack vendors.  (Special dietary needs should be addressed with the Safety Office prior to arrival.)  However, if you would like to eat elsewhere or must leave for any reason during the day, remember to get your hand stamped, then you can return later that same day.  Dollywood's Splash Country does not have picnic areas at the Park.  However, Dollywood’s Splash Country has picnic tables outside the Front Gate if you choose to leave the Park to have a picnic.

Can children come to Dollywood's Splash Country without an adult?

For the safety of our Guests, children must be 13 years old or older to enter without an adult.  Children 12 years old and younger must be accompanied by a chaperone 16 years old or older.  Unescorted children will not be admitted to Dollywood's Splash Country.

May I exit the park and return later in the day?

Yes.  Have your hand stamped at the exit.

Do you have water fountains throughout the park?

Water fountains are located near many of our restrooms.  In addition, ice water in a cup is available FREE at most drink vendor locations and all Park restaurants.

Are pets allowed at Dollywood's Splash Country?

Pets are not permitted.  Service animals are allowed on park on a leash or harness but are not permitted to participate in the attractions.

Do you have kennels for my pet?

Dollywood's Splash Country does not have kennels.  However, Dollywood has kennels that may also be used by Dollywood's Splash Country Guests.  Doggywood® is a one-of-a-kind, climate-controlled indoor dog care facility located at Dollywood.  Doggywood is constructed in the style of a rustic Smoky Mountain cabin.  For owners who really want to “pamper their pooch,” four cottages are available, or smaller kennels are available.  An additional amount will be charged for each additional dog sharing a kennel or cottage.  The daily rental fee provides each dog its own water supply.  Space is limited, and reservations are highly recommended.  Please call 865-428-9826 during Dollywood operating hours.  Without a reservation, all kennels at Doggywood will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.  Visit the Dollywood website for more Doggywood information.  *Please note:  Doggywood can only accommodate dogs.

Do you take checks?

Yes.  A check may be written for admission, food and/or merchandise.  Dollywood’s Splash Country uses Telecheck Electronic Cash Advance (ECA) which submits the check payment as a debit entry to your account.  A current driver's license is required for identification.

Do you have ATM machines on park?

Yes.  An ATM machine is located at the front entrance of Riverside Trading Post.

Do you offer a AAA discount at the front gate?

We do not offer AAA discounts at Dollywood's Splash Country.  However some AAA chapters have opted to sell Dollywood's Splash Country tickets.  Contact your local chapter to determine if Dollywood's Splash Country tickets are available.

Do you have a military discount on admission tickets?

Yes.  Dollywood's Splash Country has always been proud to assist our military families.  Visit our Special Offers section for information on this discount.

If I buy a one-day admission ticket, can I upgrade it to a season pass?

Season Passes are your best value if visiting more than one time during the season.  You can apply your one-day admission toward the price of a season pass.  This transaction must be made on the day of your visit before leaving the Park.

Do you have group rates?

Yes, we offer group rates for groups of 15 or more paying Guests.  Our group reservation number is 865-428-9890.  Groups must make reservations at least 2 weeks in advance in order to receive one complimentary ticket per fifteen paid.  Please see our Group Information section for more information

Do you have a First Aid Station?

Yes.  Dollywood's Splash Country has a First Aid Station located near Big Bear Plunge with medical personnel on duty at all times during Park hours.

What are the safety restrictions for the slides?

Pregnant women, persons with heart conditions, back or neck problems, persons with casts or under the influence of alcohol or drugs are not permitted to ride.  Riders should be in good health and good physical condition to participate in the attractions.  Guests who are extremely overweight or in poor physical condition are subject to increased risk of injury and should not ride.

Are life vests available?

Yes.  Life vests are provided at no additional charge and will be required for non-swimmers and small children at the direction of the Lifeguards.  Personal life vests must be USCG approved and in good condition.  Water wings, floatation seats or bubble packs may not be used.  Life vests are strongly recommended for non-swimmers and weak swimmers.

Should my baby / toddler wear a swim diapers?

Yes.  Swim diapers must be worn by babies / toddlers not yet potty trained.  Swim diapers are available in the merchandise shop.

Are there designated areas where I can change diapers or nurse my baby?

Baby Care Centers, located near Big Bear Plunge and The Cascades, offer nursing areas, changing stations and family restrooms.

Are lockers available for rent?

Yes.  All day lockers are available for $5.00 plus a $5.00 refundable deposit.  Discounts are available on lockers for Dollywood's Splash Country Gold and Super Gold Passholders.

Are strollers available for rent?

Yes.  A limited number of single strollers are available for rent on a first-come, first served basis.  Single strollers are $10 per day.  Discounts are available on stroller rentals for Dollywood's Splash Country Gold and Super Gold Passholders.

Are wheelchairs available for rent?

Yes.  A limited number of wheelchairs are available for rent at Dollywood's Splash Country.  Reservations are not accepted; they are rented on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be carried over to the next day (on an "After 3:00, Next Day Free" ticket).  Wheelchairs are $8 per day.  Discounts are available on wheelchair rentals for Dollywood's Splash Country Gold and Super Gold Passholders.

Are tubes available?

Yes.  Tubes are provided at no additional charge on a first come first serve basis for the wave pool, lazy river and tube slides.  No personal tubes, noodles or floats will be allowed in the water including children's "water wings," "floatation seats," "inflatable rings," or "bubble packs."
