Dollywood's Thrills in the Hills

Dollywood invites you to the mountaintop of excitement—Dollywood’s Thrills in the Hills!

This first-time event takes place June 6, 7 and 8 and offers coaster experiences you won’t find anywhere but Dollywood.  Thrills in the Hills admission is just $75 regular; $65 child; and $45 Dollywood season passholder.  Participants get exclusive ride time on Thunderhead, Dollywood's Great Coasters International wooden wonder, named No. 1 in the world in 2005 and 2006.  Brave Mystery Mine, the Gerstlauer "showster" named 2007 best new attraction by Theme Park Insider.  Twist through the Tennessee Tornado- -the last looping mine-train coaster Arrow Engineering built and deemed the best by many.  Explore the Blazing Fury, one of only two rides of its kind in the world.  And we're just getting started.

The entire three-day Thrills in the Hills package offers participants flexibility.  If you can’t make it for exclusive ride times on Friday night, head to Dollywood on Saturday for more exclusive ride time, a spectacular meal with an informative Q & A session.  You might even find yourself aboard Dollywood’s new $5 million River Battle for a special “enthusiast only” water fight.  For even more Thrills in the Hills, make sure you purchase a ticket to Dolly’s Dixie Stampede ($25) for an incredible four-course meal and show on Saturday night.   Add on a ticket to Dollywood’s Splash Country ($15) and soak up some sun on Sunday with more exclusive ride time at this spectacular Smoky Mountain water adventure park.  Discover why the Travel Channel named Dollywood’s Splash Country "one of the best in the world" for the past five years.

Traffic Solutions for I-40 Closure

Construction is under way on Interstate 40 between James White Parkway (exit 388A) and Hall of Fame Drive (exit 389) that will close this short stretch of I-40 for approximately 14 months.  However, getting to Dollywood is still easy if you use one of several alternate routes to bypass this area!  Please visit www.smartfix40.com for helpful directions.  You can also hear Dolly explain the bypass routes using the links below.

Traveling from:
   Knoxville
   Nashville/Chattanooga
   Tri-Cities

Please note that internet mapping services should reflect the redirected traffic through downtown Knoxville. However, the Tennessee Department of Transportation advises GPS users to contact the manufacturer to download an update to reflect these new routes.

New Entrance

To provide the most efficient traffic flow possible, ALL Dollywood traffic is now routed through the entrance on McCarter Hollow Road just off Veterans Boulevard.  Please remember the Dollywood Lane entrance will be CLOSED to all traffic.  Click here for a map from Traffic Light #8 in Pigeon Forge to new entrance.  (If you are visiting Dollywood for the first time, please use our Maps & Directions page for additional information.  A local map is available.)  For more information, call 1-800-DOLLYWOOD.
