Decking the Resort's Halls for a Holly Dolly Christmas Season

Does anyone else fall into the category of people who decorate for Christmas before Thanksgiving? I know it's a heated debate for some, but I just absolutely love celebrating Christmas as long as possible. Because of this, it's probably a good thing I work at Dollywood. As soon as the last weekend in October hits, the pumpkins disappear and Christmas trees go up. We do this for a couple of reasons: one, our teams work REALLY HARD to get all of these decorations up; and two, we want to make sure as many people as possible are able to join us for this special season. This process doesn't just apply to Dollywood though. It applies to Dollywood's DreamMore Resort and Spa, as well.

Every Christmas season, guests at the resort can expect beautiful classic Christmas décor(with a touch of Dolly sparkle, of course!) delicious Christmas foods, festive kids activities and jolly holiday entertainment that will create truly special Christmas memories for the entire family.

Camp DW

During Dollywood's Smoky Mountain Christmas Festival, the resort's Camp DW hosts become Santa's Elves! These festive merry makers offer daily crafts and activities that include letter writing to Santa, gingerbread house decorating, Christmas ornament painting, vintage truck painting, patchwork ornament of many colors, wreath decorating and more. On select evenings, the family can gather for a Christmas movie and holiday pillow making. You also can join Camp DW hosts around the wood-burning fire pit for complimentary s'mores roasting from 7 - 8 p.m. and Christmas stories from Dolly Parton's Imagination Library during Bedtime Stories in The Barn at 8 p.m. Hot apple cider is served by our Camp DW hosts from 4 - 6 p.m. in the lobby.

Entertainment

Who doesn't love Christmas music (at the appropriate Christmas music time, of course!)? "Jingle bells," "O' Holy Night," "Hard Candy Christmas" and my personal favorite "Tennessee Christmas." During Smoky Mountain Christmas, you can find holiday entertainment everyday around the resort Whether it's an instrumental quartet, a solo acoustic performance or an incredible local band, there is plenty of Christmas cheer in the air all around the resort. Musical performers include Eric Littleton, Addie Levy, Cammisano & Company, Kari Novella, Cassie and Maggie MacDonald and more. Oh! And don't forget the Christmas Tree Show by The Swimming Hole each night!

The Spa

In The Spa, warm up and rejuvenate with a variety of holiday-themed treatments and services. For Dollywood's Smoky Mountain Christmas, you can choose from treatments that are reminiscent of winter in the Smoky Mountains such as the Toasted Marshmallow Massage or All is Bright Facial. You may choose from four holiday-inspired Manicure and Pedicure combinations before completing the service by adding a Hot Chocolate Mask or In Mint Condition Foot Balm.

Song & Hearth: A Southern Eatery*

Dollywood's DreamMore Resort and Spa's culinary team is preparing delicious holiday meals in Song & Hearth: A Southern Eatery.

On Christmas Eve, you and your family can enjoy charcuterie and salads before feasting on flavorful entrees such as slow-roasted hand-carved prime rib with rosemary au jus and DreamMore's bacon-wrapped meatloaf with roasted tomato jam, all accompanied by Christmas favorites including smashed Yukon potatoes and honey-roasted carrots. To finish your meal, exquisite treats made in-house by our bakers, such as caramel bread pudding with bourbon glaze and a rich chocolate fountain, complete the perfect holiday meal.

For Christmas Day brunch, choose from a number of holiday favorites. Honey-glazed pit ham with pineapple cherry chutney and grilled lamb chops with mint demi-glace highlight our chef's carving station. A variety of seafood options and omelet and pasta stations offer delicious choices. Christmas favorites, such as apple and cranberry cornbread stuffing, green bean almondine and candied sweet potatoes are delicious accompaniments. For dessert, choose from a variety of delectable desserts including seasonal pies and caramel bread pudding with bourbon glaze.

*Holiday meals are open to resort and non-resort guests; however, reservations are required.
