How do I find out what jobs are available?

Choose the "Current Job Listings" header at the top of the page and select from the options listed.

Why are most of your job openings seasonal?

Dollywood's business is seasonal, which means that our operating schedule is built around the travel patterns of our Guests. Therefore, we need more staff during busy travel times such as summer months, weekends, and holidays.

If I apply for a seasonal job, does that mean I'm only going to work a certain time of the year?

Possibly. Some of our seasonal jobs are for short time periods, but other positions work approximately 10 months of the year.

Can I apply for more than one position within The Dollywood Company?

Yes. After applying for the first choice, click on the “Existing Resume/CV” at the bottom of the next listing for which you would like to apply. Log in and update your profile as necessary.

Do I need a resume to apply?

No, you do not need a resume to apply. When you find a position for which you would like to apply, your two options will be to apply with a New Resume/CV or Existing Resume/CV. Select “New Resume/CV” if you have not applied with Dollywood before. Select “Existing Resume/CV” if you have previously applied since August 26, 2013. If you select “New Resume/CV,” the system will allow you to proceed without having a resume.

Will I receive a confirmation that my application/resume has been received?

Yes. After you apply online, a confirmation acknowledgement will be emailed to you.

What can I do if there are no positions currently listed or available within my skill set?

Job Agent is a feature that will notify you via email if a job opening is posted that matches your interests and experience. Create a Job Agent by clicking the “Create A Job Agent” link under the Employment Listings page.

After I’ve applied, when can I expect to hear from someone?

The application process varies, but you should hear back within 48 hours after submitting your application.

How many interviews can I expect?

For seasonal positions, it is most common to expect one phone interview and one in-person interview per position. All leadership and year-round positions usually require more than one in-person interview after an initial phone interview.

What should I wear to an interview?

Business casual attire is highly recommended for all interviews. Often times, walking is required to get to the various interview locations within Dollywood, Dollywood's Splash Country, and Dollywood Cabins. Comfortable footwear is recommended.

When can I expect to hear feedback from an interview?

For seasonal positions, it is common to know whether or not you’re being offered the job at the end of the interview. In some cases, however, other factors might delay a decision. In any case, we try to keep candidates up-to-date of our decisions by phone, or by email.

If hired, what would I wear as an employee?

For most positions that have contact with our Guests, Dollywood provides you with three sets of uniforms appropriate to the area for which you’re hired. You must provide your own brown or black shoes.

How long are the work shifts?

This question should be clarified during your interview process. Work shifts vary by job, and operating schedules which are built around the travel patterns of our Guests throughout the year. Some shifts can be as short as 3 hours, and others can be as long as 12 hours.

What does Seasonal, Part-Time Seasonal and Full-Time Seasonal represent?

These are classifications based on the length of employment and expected hours to work for a particular position.

  • Seasonal – A position expected to last less than 6 months
  • Part-Time Seasonal – A position expected to last more than 6 months and less than 30 hours a week
  • Full-Time Seasonal – A position expected to last more than 6 months and more than 30 hours* a week

*Hours are not guaranteed and are based on weather and attendance.
