Storytelling at DreamMore Resort

Storytelling

We make bedtime fun with storytelling around the wood burning fire pit every night at 8 p.m. All of the books that come alive each night during this special family time are from Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, a worldwide program that originated from Dolly’s love of stories and her family’s rich tradition of storytelling. This unique program started more than 20 years ago, providing every child in Dolly’s Sevier County with a book every month from the time they are born to the age of 5. (Bedtime Stories Are Weather Permitting And Are Subject To Change.)

International Storytelling Center: Headquartered in Jonesborough, TN, the International Storytelling Center (ISC) is the world’s premier storytelling institution. Having been at the forefront of the American storytelling revival for more than 40 years, ISC used its expertise to help Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort realize Dolly’s vision of using storytelling to bring families together—not just during their vacations—but long after they return home.

Stay Safe With Us

The safety and well-being of our guests and employees remains our top priority. Dollywood's safety measures continue to remain consistent with guidance from health officials including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), appropriate state and local agencies, and expert consultants.

Our revised policy now allows fully vaccinated guests and guests aged 12 and under to visit Dollywood without wearing a mask or physically distancing (both indoors or outdoors).

Masks are required for non-vaccinated guests older than age of 12 in all indoor areas and remain optional in outdoor areas where social distancing can be maintained.

Resort guests with valid park admission tickets or Season Passes will have Priority Access to the parks. Season Passholders do not have to make park reservations if you are a registered guest at Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa.
