When Dolly visited Dollywood on Friday, March 10, she let a theater full of Dollywood Season Passholders in on a secret: we’re planning to open a whole new Dolly Parton experience next season.
In 2024, we introduce The Dolly Parton Experience: an interactive, newly-reimagined approach to telling Dolly’s story. This experiential attraction will open in the location of the former Chasing Rainbows Museum. It’s designed to be a one-of-a-kind immersive storytelling experience that will offer visitors an overview of Dolly’s journey and epic achievements with an up-close look at Dolly’s most-treasured things: family keepsakes and career mementos. Surrounded by video imagery and pristine sound, Dolly’s voice will transport you as she tells the story herself.
The experience will continue to expand as it encompasses a handful of additional opportunities: anecdotes from Dolly’s childhood are presented at the Tennessee Mountain Home, her faith and family connections are explored at Dreamsong Theater and fans have the opportunity to walk through a new dedicated exhibit displaying Dolly’s sparkliest collection: her wardrobe.
As crews work on developing these new experiences, Chasing Rainbows will remain closed.
