Story Time

We make bedtime fun with storytelling around the wood burning fire pit every night at 8 p.m. All of the books that come alive each night during this special family time are from Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, a worldwide program that originated from Dolly’s love of stories and her family’s rich tradition of storytelling. This unique program started more than 20 years ago, providing every child in Dolly’s Sevier County with a book every month from the time they are born to the age of 5. International Storytelling Center: Headquartered in Jonesborough, TN, the International Storytelling Center (ISC) is the world’s premier storytelling institution. Having been at the forefront of the American storytelling revival for more than 40 years, ISC used its expertise to help Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort realize Dolly’s vision of using storytelling to bring families together—not just during their vacations—but long after they return home.
