Let Me Tell You About DOGGYwood

Do you have a new puppy you can’t leave alone? Do you worry about leaving your dog behind when you go on vacation? If you’re headed to Dollywood, then there’s no need to stress! Doggywood offers Dollywood and Dollywood’s Splash Country guests onsite pet cottages and kennels. Look for this location by Guest Services at Dollywood’s front gate. If you’re visiting Dollywood or Splash Country for the day and need a place for your dog to go, then bring them along to stay at Doggywood while you enjoy the park. My family is local-ish (we live about an hour away) and Doggywood is still the perfect answer to “What do we do with the dog?” if we plan to be at the park from open to close. We recently brought our Goldendoodle, Heidi, along on a Dollywood day. She loved it and so did we! It was so nice to not have to plan our day around a deadline of getting back home to let the dog out.

Heidi had her own 4x6 kennel run with unlimited water for the day. We were required to bring any food, toys and comfort items that she would need for her stay. We also stopped by to check on her throughout the day and give her short walks (and potty breaks!) since Dollywood hosts are not permitted to walk the dogs at Doggywood. My recommendation is to plan some trips back to the front of the park throughout the day: maybe snack time at Spotlight Bakery or Showstreet Ice Cream or shopping at the Dollywood Emporium, so it’s convenient to check on your dog.

Important to Know

• Dogs must be up-to-date on all vaccinations, including Rabies and Boardatella
• Only adults are allowed in the kennel/cottage area
• Dogs from the same household can share a kennel/cottage for a $5 fee
• Cottages only allow dogs 19 lbs. or less
• Doggywood is not an overnight boarding facility. It is only open during posted park operating hours.

How to Book Doggywood

If you want to bring your furry family member to Dollywood next time you visit, be sure to make a reservation by calling 1-800-Dollywood or book online. Reservations are highly encouraged because you don’t want to risk showing up with your pup to find out they have no availability!

Before Your Visit

The boarding agreement will take you a few minutes to fill out. Plan to do that when you arrive. Also, Doggywood needs records of your dog’s vaccinations (specifically, Rabies and Bordetella). Bring those records with you. Your dog must be vaccinated to stay at Doggywood.
